The course held at the Martin Luther King Center in Havana has been attended by students and professors from different institutions in the country, including the Faculty of Communication of the University of Havana, Cuba’s History Institute, Cubaliteraria, the site Cubarte and the Fernando Ortiz Foundation.

The event has been the starting point for the development of Digital Humanities in the island, which in recent years has been consolidating in the Spanish-speaking community.

The experience has been very satisfactory thanks to the formative quality and to the interest of the students with already tangible projects like www.postdata.club, the digital publications of Cubaliteraria, the editions of the Foundation Fernando Ortiz or the project Manes.
